I have to take a minute to say how wonderful it was to get home, after an incredibly long day of running here and there, to find some amazingly delicious and (do I dare say?) wholesome food prepared by ate.o.ate catering/Rich Ellsworth in my kitchen. (My husband requested I also add that it was the most delicious take-out he has ever had in Roxbury!) I don’t think I can describe how awesome it was to 1. not have to cook after an extremely long day 2. but not have to compromise on taste 3. yet more importantly, to know that the food I was eating was also healthy, home-made, by people who love to do what they do and care about the quality of what they are making. So thank you! I hardly ever eat out or order in, but I think that will be changing. Eating from ate-o-ate is like having the most delicious home-cooked-meal-I’d-never-be-able-to-cook-myself, in the comfort of my own home. huzzah!

Richie’s ate.o.ate truck was a huge hit at Roxbury Arts Group’s Open Mic JAM this past Friday in Stamford. Audience members, performers and downtown Stamford ‘ate them up’ – lIterally! Everyone just kept eating and exclaiming how great everything tasted. What a great combination – ate.o.ate food and entertainment led by Kevin Prior and Mike Herman at Open Mic JAM! – every first friday of the month.

The ate.o.ate gourmet food truck from Roxbury made its debut in Delhi on Monday, doling out delectables such as beef and chicken sliders, rueben fritters, buffalo-garlic parmo-szechuan wings (take your pick), chili, potato leek and chicken penne soup, Nathan’s hot dogs….People braved the chill and lined up in the E-Center parking lot where the truck parked from noon to 6:00 p.m. Many asked proprietor Rich Ellsworth when the truck would make a return trip.

Just had the trio of tacos and they were delicious. The Gazpacho (had to look up spelling) was amazing and the perfect prelude to spring and local produce to come. Thanks Rich and Peg.

My husband and I had the pleasure of finally trying ate.o.ate’s food this past weekend. We had jambalya, flank steak tacos and fried wontons with crab meat. Wow, every single thing was absolutely delicious. The flank steak taco was amazing. And we loved the dipping sauce for the wontons. Next time we’re up we will be seeking out the ate.o.ate truck again! Thank you!
